As soon as the grapes were ripe, the canes were cut and the grapes allowed to dry naturally in the hot Sicilian sun. After aboout 20 days, the grapes had lost about 20% of their weight. They were then harvested, pressed and underwent a long maceration on the skins. The wine was then aged for six months in American and French oak barriques before bottling.
Bright red ruby in the glass with intense aromas of red fruits, spices and red flowers. The wine is vibrant, full and intense with a bright red fruit character. Warm, with a silky texture, it is well-balanced with a persistent finish.
